My parents house is like this right now. It strange to be home

this has to be the best road side attraction i have ever seen. i havent seen many. but this is really wonderful. The guy with the beard..he takes you on a train tour of his old chainsaws,stopping to look at the last train that crashed along the way. The house they are in is apparently defying gravity. Like the crooked houses you get at fair grounds. The skulls and the chipolopes were my favourites i think. My cousin was about 3 or 4 when we went. it is one of her favourite places too.

i am going to escape to america,and be a bum for an indefinate amount of time as soon as humanly possible.i cant wait. im also spending time doing rituals and satan worshipping with hans,we are also working on tattooing eachother and generally becoming linked with the dark side:) ha!

I am finally getting paid some to do fun time illustration. I am very much happy. The kids book is about ally bear,written by simon hardy. And i am enjoying it.. but i have a feeling im going to get angry with teddy bears preeettty soon. pretty much.. yeah. Here's to the future though eh?

I am really looking forward to finishing my degree,sadly,partly,because i will be able to write on things like this without the nagging thing in the back of my mind decided what i do and dont include. Surely the fact i am using this as part of a research file would mean it would be more coherent and interesting. but in fact it is just a load of rambling crap interspersed with pretty pictures.


So today i am so very tired after traveling to black pool yesterday and coming back to my home town today.I really liked blackpool and feel a weekend is needed there. I have a definite solid gold attraction to seaside crap. The shittier the better. What is that?
I saw bjork. It was wonderful,glitter and lasers in a massive beautiful ballroom. really lovey. And i did some bad drawings.

Why is it that as soon as i start to form some vaugue identity to my work it seems to instantaneously slip away. It's frustrating and its starting to make me thing that i am constantly having an identity crisis. worrying indeed.
Thsi week is scheduled as screen printing in a big way.I have worked out my time and will be hopefully two thirds done by the end of the week. Well thats if i can afford it all. Also the 'dildo's' are all glazed. They really loko wonderful im so happy. Like fine porcelain beauty's. The only problem now is getting the laser trans to work. We have been assured so many times by various people that they work just as well as ceramic transfers.. only to find they dont work at all. damn.
I have four weeks left, this worrys me. at least i now have a bar job.. possibilty of a 'proper' job when i finish too.
but i want to go to LA. NOW please. i miss it like a big palm tree shaped hole in my heart.
fun times this week... go back to the house and bake and watch horror with kayleigh and emma.. yesss.. then tuesday go watch martin play support to the band he is in'light speed champion' at KOKO. Maybe have some afterward fun at our house. hm fun.
oh and no more unnecessary dating for me. its troublesome..well i think anyway.. maybe.

when you find someones work that just reminds you of your own work in many spooky ways.. but also is about a million times better than your own work. Chris Chau.. yes ive been hitting up various 'magazine' type 'blogs'. But this is rather lovely..



by the way once my degree is over this is going to become more of what it is supposed to be and not so much with me talking about boring stuff and posting up work i like.

so .. i need to write up a ceramics diary for my journal, we have now put the 'dildo's' in to be fired with the glaze. all that is left is making the lazer trans and baking them. We even have the packaging nearly sorted. Spray glazing them was pretty crazy. i sort of really like it.. all that power.. oooo..its liek excersize. we call it 'ceramersizing' its exciting.
As well as this i have booked my hostel for bjork on thursday.. not work related but worth mentioning... i have nearly finished designing the layout for the digital version of my book. so i can send that off by the end of the week. And i've got page one and two ready for screen printing tomorrow.
On top of all the above i just got a phone call saying i have a trial shift at Bar Story tomorrow. At last. all is fairly good,well at least vaguely in order. .. um other college related news... i have all systems ready and go to print this live journal off.. get doodling and ammending and then photocopying before binding to create this bloody journal. I am actually really looking forward to getting all my notes,bits and pieces of research and mainly thoughts together in one document. I have much to justify,explain and talk about still though i must say. hoopla!

ohyeahstudio.no is Christina Magnussen/Hans Chr Øren... i rather love it. when did this change happen in me,when did i grow to love digital work.. i didnt even notice it happening. hm. this stuff is pretty.

they are going to print tomorrow. Will be available at the chelsea flower show as an edition of fifty of each. will also be available through agralan(agralan.co.uk) and me afterward. im so looking forward to all the flowers and crazy crazy gardens! i am also slightly freaked as to how these turned out. i dont know if anyone else has ever approached a commision with all good intetions then produced work that just feels that much removed from your usual working style. if that makes sense. anyway thats sort of how i feel about these. These are also my own crappy scans not the decent ones which are being done at the printers

two colours or three colours.. that is the question.

ngredients
50ml/1¾fl oz double cream
50ml/1¾fl oz milk
2 eggs
pinch of ground cinnamon
2 slices of bread
knob of butter
handful of raspberries


Method
1. Whisk the cream, milk, eggs and cinnamon in a bowl.
2. Dip the bread into the egg mixture.
3. Heat the butter in a non-stick frying pan and fry the bread for 2-3 minutes on each side.
4. Serve with raspberries sprinkled on top.
